Today, I ran in the inaugural Run for Young 5K Run/Walk.  This event honors the memory of a youth killed last year in a tragic automobile accident.  Sadiki Young was a passenger in a vehicle driven by another youth, who was under the influence of alcohol.  The purpose of the run and how it was attracted me to it; it's really a compelling story.

It was a beautiful sunny day with temperatures around 50 degrees; a little breezy but seemingly perfect for running...

Some friends gave us their tickets to the 'Canes/Toronto Maple Leafs game on December 18, 2007.  The seats were in the Mezzanine up in section 328 - these truly are great seats.

The first 56 or so minutes of the game were exciting, but certainly one-sided.  The Leafs did all the scoring and we were behind 2 - 0.  Craig Adams took a penalty and, faced with insurmountable odds, it seemed like a good point to make our break for home.
